Cameron Horner Ministries began out of a story of God‘s grace. When Cameron was 18 years old he experienced a tragic diving accident in the shallow water in which he broke his neck resulting in a spinal cord and paralysis from the chest down. Cameron was packed for college with the hopes of entering into ministry when this accident occurred. Came and cried out to God while under the water waiting for rescue and then again while being pulled back to shore by a friend. The story of God‘s hand at work on the day of Cameron‘s injury began to be shared by people everywhere, and after a four month journey of therapy, Cameron returned home to requests for him to come share his story. God orchestrated one thing to lead to another and now Cameron functions through a nonprofit and shares his story of God’s grace from a wheelchair.
Cameron‘s heart is to use his story to strengthen faith and stir a passion for God in the hearts of people. He desires that all people know the goodness of the God that he knows and has encountered. God has given Cameron great peace and joy through the years as he has continued to minister in a different way than he had planned before this injury. Cameron’s primary driving encouragement is the hope of the return of Jesus to restore all things, including Cameron’s body! This hope saturates everything he does, including ministry!
